The Mealhouse (Sleeps 2 + 1)
The Mealhouse has one bedroom and is called this because it was originally used to store the feed or ‘meal’ for the pigs that resided in the pig sty that can still be seen across from it (now a log shed). You can still see many of the original features of the building, like the exposed stone walls and the old wooden beam in the kitchen that was used to cure meat on.
About the Cottage:
The Mealhouse is set slightly apart from the other cottages, offering uninterrupted views across the farm and of the passing horses. The Mealhouse is a delightful conversion of an old farm building, with vaulted ceilings and plenty of character. The cottage has a cosy lounge with LCD TV and DVD player. The cottage also has its own Wi-Fi and a smart TV so you can watch catchup TV and YouTube or your favourite Netflix or Amazon programmes (if you have an account for them).
It also has an electric coal effect fire and a door to the private garden, with garden furniture. The garden has uninterrupted views across the front fields and down to the ponds, plus great views of the sunsets in the summer months. There is a light and modern fitted kitchen with oven, ceramic hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and a fridge with a small freezer box. The cottage also has a very attractive double bedroom with vaulted and beamed ceilings. Off the bedroom is a shower room and W.C.
The Mealhouse sleeps two adults and one child or infant (max 12 years old). There is space in the double bedroom for a cot or for a fold away bed at one side of the bed.
