Rosebud Cottage (Sleeps 6 + 2)

Rosebud is a pleasant, beamed cottage with three bedrooms and two bathrooms and lovely countryside views. The cottage was named after Rosebud the cow, who had all of her calves in one of the downstairs rooms (before it was converted from a barn to a cottage !), while the upstairs was used to store hay in the winter. You can still see many of the original features of the barn, like the exposed stone walls, split barn door and the double upstairs opening that was once used to load the hay to and from the horse drawn wagons that pulled up underneath.

About the Cottage:

The sitting room is cosy, with a rug on a slate floor, wood burning stove and doors to a private patio with garden furniture and. The sitting room also has a 50″ LCD TV and a DVD player. The cottage also has its own Wi-Fi and a smart TV so you can watch catchup TV and YouTube or your favourite Netflix or Amazon programmes (if you have an account for them).

There is a spacious farmhouse style fitted kitchen with a large dining table, large fridge and a large freezer, plus a dishwasher, microwave, ceramic hob, kettle, toaster and an oven.

On the first floor is a large double bedroom with a king size bed and plenty of light from the windows to the front and rear of the room. It also has an en-suite shower room/W.C. There are also two twin bedded rooms which share the use of a separate bathroom/W.C. The cottage has views over the countryside and also of the stable yard where the horses are kept. There is private courtyard at the rear of the cottage with a garden table and chairs, plus seating at the front of the cottage to get the morning sun. The courtyard has a high fence so is also secure for dogs.

Rosebud sleeps six adults or children and up to two additional children (max 12 years old) on a luxury fold-away single bed or in separate cot.
