Threpney Byre (Sleeps 2 + 2)
With one galleried bedroom, Threpney Byre is an imaginatively converted ’roundhouse’ and is full of character. The cottage was named after the old twelve sided three penny piece due to its shape, with the word Byre being an old English word for a cowshed.
About the Cottage:
The bright and spacious open plan downstairs living space has a dining area and a kitchen area with oven, ceramic hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and a fridge with a small freezer box. The kitchen and lounge has views of the courtyard. The sitting area has a leather sofa and a very comfortable leather reclining chair – plus a digital 32″ LCD TV and a DVD player. The cottage also has its own Wi-Fi and a smart TV so you can watch catchup TV and YouTube or your favourite Netflix or Amazon programmes (if you have an account for them).
Also on the ground floor is the large bathroom/W.C. which has a bath and a separate shower cubicle.
On the first floor/mezzanine floor is the charming galleried double bedroom which has a beamed sloping ceiling (watch your head !).
Threpney Byre has a private south facing courtyard with garden furniture and a place to use a portable or disposable barbecue.
Though it only has one bedroom, Threpney Byre has room for two adults and up to two children (max 12 years old) or babies in the upstairs bedroom (with an extra bed or cot on either side of the double bed).
