Flexible Booking Policy during the Crisis
We understand that these are difficult times and the well-being of our guests comes first. So during the current crisis we are adopting a flexible booking policy that covers current and new bookings. If you or a member of your party have the virus or have to self-isolate or if your area is in ‘lock-down’ and you are unable to travel then we will allow you to change the dates of your stay without any penalty costs (see below for full details).
In order to protect our guests, we have also instructed our cleaners to spend longer cleaning the cottages and to ensure that all frequently touched surfaces are wiped down with a strong anti-bacterial solution.
We would point out that Cornwall is the perfect place to reduce your risk from the virus as we have plenty of fresh air and wide open spaces where you can stay away from other people while still enjoying the wide open beaches and the countryside. You are much safer here than in a busy crowded city or abroad !
We are experiencing an increase in bookings at the moment – as people cancel foreign holidays and choose to holiday in the UK instead. So reserve your cottage now with the knowledge that you can change dates if the worse happens.
Cancellations / Date Changes
If the farm is forced to close or the area we are in is closed to the public then your stay will be cancelled and we will provide you with a full refund for your stay.
If you cannot come on your holiday because you or someone in your party has contracted Corona Virus or have been advised to self-isolate then we will allow you to re-book your holiday for an alternative date (but you will have to pay any additional costs if the cottage is not the same price for the new dates). See Note 1.
If you cannot come on your holiday because the area in which you or someone else in your party lives is ‘locked down’ and you are advised by the relevant authorities that you cannot leave the area then again we will allow you to re-book your holiday for an alternative date (but you will have to pay any additional costs if the cottage is not the same price for the new dates). See Note 2.
If you have holiday insurance that covers you for your cancellation then we would kindly ask you claim off this and then re-book at a later date.
If one of your party is over 70 and cannot travel because they are self isolating , then we would ask you to still take your holiday without them and we will look at discounting your holiday to account for the lower numbers in your party.
- You will need to provide us with sick note from your GP or the 111 service stating that you or a member of your party have Corona Virus, are suspected of having it or have been advised to self-isolate for all or part of your holiday dates. You must also have advised us of the names of all the people in your party at least 14 days before the date of the sick note.
- You must provide us with evidence that the relevant area is in lock down or it must be common knowledge (ie on the news). We may also require evidence that you or a member of the party live in the affected area. You must also have advised us of the names of all the people in your party at least 14 days before the date of the lock down.
If you have any queries or you just want to discuss your options then please feel free to get in touch.
