The Farm

Polean farm is located down green lanes off the Looe to Polperro road, just outside the village of Pelynt. The farm is set amongst rolling farmland and is less than 2 miles from the sea. The 18th century former barns have been converted into spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated cottages set around a pretty courtyard. Just one of many delightful walks leads along a quiet green lane (where you can sometimes spot deer and other wildlife) to the quaint little fishing village of Polperro (with its shops and five public houses - see the pictures in The Local Area Page). The Farm is also a working livery yard with over twenty horses and guests are welcome to explore the stables and fields and visit the horses and ponies (but please supervise your children at all times when in the livery yard).

Bonny the farm dog will be there to greet you when you arrive - and if you are coming in winter, remember to bring your wellies !

Just over a mile walk down a green lane leads to Pelynt's food shops and fine old coaching inn, which serves superb home cooked food and locally caught fish. The inn has a large beer garden and is open for lunch and evening meals. Charming Looe (4 miles away) boasts a large sandy beach, good shops, galleries and restaurants and a bustling quayside where you can get boat rides, or buy freshly caught fish (to cook yourself or ready fried from the superb chippy).

The nearest beach - Talland Bay (just 2 miles away) and Lantic Bay (5 miles).
